Oliver Känzig

Managing Consultant

Oliver Känzig studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Fribourg and obtained a Master of Law degree. During his Master’s studies, he was particularly interested in fundamental and human rights in a national, European and international context. As a result of the advancing digitalisation, he became increasingly interested in the subject of “privacy” and then deepened his knowledge in the area of personal rights and data protection, thus laying the foundation for his current activities.

During his studies, he worked as a technician in one of Switzerland’s leading companies for continuing education. As an employee, he had the opportunity to participate in the courses himself, obtaining the MCSA Windows Server 2012 certification and gaining insight into ITIL and Scrum. He was particularly fascinated by IT security and attended courses ranging from information security basics to ethical hacking.

Oliver Känzig works for Swiss Infosec AG in consulting and training in the areas of data protection and information security. He creates customer-specific concepts, guidelines or instructions for our customers and handles all kinds of legal questions, especially in the area of data protection. Furthermore, he is available to our customers as external data protection officer according to GDPR and operational data protection officer (BDSV) according to FADP.

In an increasingly digitally networked world, the proper handling and protection of data is an ever-growing challenge that must be mastered.
