Ursula Thier studied law at the University of Zurich and is admitted to the Lucerne Bar. She has worked for the Swiss National Bank and the Canton of Zurich in various positions (senior legal counsel, head of legal services, deputy chief of staff) and has more than 20 years of professional experience. She gained in-depth knowledge and experience in administrative and private law (in particular business administration law, procurement law, data protection law, contract law, financial market law and compliance) and project management. Ursula Thier expanded her legal knowledge in the area of management with a postgraduate degree (DAS MLP-HSG) at the Executive School of the University of St. Gallen.

In her work, she regularly dealt with IT law and data protection and was the data protection officer of the department at her last employer, thus laying the foundation for her work at Swiss Infosec AG.

Ursula Thier works at Swiss Infosec AG in consulting and training in the areas of data protection and IT law. She creates customer-specific concepts, guidelines or directives for our customers and deals with legal issues of all kinds, especially in the area of data protection. Furthermore, she is available to our clients as an external data protection officer (DPO) according to DSG and DSGVO. Ursula Thier provides legal services in German and English.
