The Swiss Cybersecurity Label Association was founded in 2018 with the aim of promoting responsible cybersecurity management in SMEs in Switzerland. The increase in cyber attacks and incidents, their worldwide publicity and the development of Swiss and European legislation have in recent years led to a new awareness of cyber risks in most companies and organisations.
While multinationals and large companies usually have the necessary resources and skills to properly manage cyber risks, this is often less the case for SMEs. Apart from the cost of eliminating or avoiding these risks, SMEs usually do not have the necessary skills to assess these risks and implement targeted and appropriate measures. Furthermore, they lack the tools to make an informed decision in the IT consulting market, be it to recognise the most efficient solutions or to identify quality providers
The scale of operational losses and reputational damage that an incident can cause is enormous. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly important to provide SMEs, their customers and partners with a tool that effectively supports them in managing cyber risks.
