Company

We begin: Reto C. Zbinden founded what is now Swiss Infosec AG in Bern in 1989. The lawyer has been CEO of the company for 35 years. Since then, he has continued to shape Swiss Infosec AG with consistency, know-how and a keen sense for new developments. At his side is a team of over 50 specialists, many of whom have been helping to shape the path of Swiss Infosec AG for decades and whose commitment and expertise have made a decisive contribution to the company’s success.

We provide foundations: As early as 1992, Reto C. Zbinden published the first edition of the standard work INFORMATIONS- UND IT-SICHERHEIT IN THEORIE UND PRAXIS (INFORMATION AND IT SECURITY IN THEORY AND PRACTICE, only in German), which – in repeatedly revised versions and now digitally – is still the reference work for information and IT security managers today.

We grow: In 2007, we move our headquarters to Sursee in the canton of Lucerne. We are also present in Bern and Zurich and, thanks to our subsidiaries SWISS GRC AG and Swiss Infosec (Deutschland) GmbH, also in Lucerne and Berlin.

We are competence: In recent years, we have deliberately focused on competence centres (Information Security, Data Privacy & Legal, IT Security, BCM/Crisis Management). The interdisciplinary cooperation of the specialised teams is the strength of our company, which combines the topics of law, technology and organisation under one roof like no other and thus consistently lives the integral security approach.

Our Information Security Management System (ISMS) is certified according to ISO 27001. By meeting this recognised security standard, we have noticeably strengthened our market position.

We are among the best: Swiss Infosec AG was awarded the D&B Rating Certificate by Bisnode D&B. The D&B Rating Certificate recognises companies that have been rated in the best risk class for at least one year. The best risk class confirms reliability and stability and shows that Swiss Infosec AG is a trustworthy and attractive business partner.

Training

We get you fit: In 1992 we run the first course for IT security officers (IT-SIBE) – incidentally still one of the most booked courses. Swiss Infosec AG thus diversifies into the training sector. We now offer a wide range of training and further education courses, which we each present in a regularly published training brochure and which also includes company training courses.

We show quality: Swiss Infosec AG has been eduQua-certified since 2004. The company thus fulfils the high eduQua criteria with regard to training quality and the performance record of the trainers, among other things.

We cooperate: We work on specific topics with other established training partners such as BSI Group, Digicomp Academy and SAQ-Qualicon.

We believe in the next generation: Swiss Infosec AG provides official apprenticeships since 2005. We are committed to training and promoting future mediamatics technicians. They benefit from the proximity to our specialists and experience how motivating team spirit is.

We convey knowledge online: In 2007, we launched our e-learning Plug & Learn on Moodle. A successful model that sets a precedent. Today, our online training offer is combined under the Infosec Academy umbrella and offers ready-to-use or individual content on specific security topics.

We are trade event: Since 2003 we have been bringing expert knowledge closer to an interested professional audience under the motto “nice to know and nice to meet”. The multi-day SWISS INFOSEC conference was our first event of this kind. Our second specialist event, MEET SWISS INFOSEC!, has become a permanent fixture in the IT industry’s calendar of events and the leading specialist event for integral security.

(Security as a) Services

We lend our specialists: Thanks to body leasing, the personnel leasing service of Swiss Infosec AG, a lack of personnel resources and expertise is quickly remedied. In 2004, we deployed one of our specialists as an external security officer for the first time. Since then, we have steadily added to our pool of specialists. In 2012, when the topic of data protection was only slowly gaining momentum, we were therefore already in a position to take on a mandate as external company data protection officer.

Our specialists are also in demand as project and team leaders, as speakers and as coaching personalities.
